From a Player's Perspective

Coach Pirro has played the biggest role in my baseball journey. He has molded me into the player I am today with the numerous rounds of BP and hours of infield fungo. He has a heart for the game and an even bigger heart for his players. He goes above and beyond for his guys and makes the CBA logo across my chest mean something to me.

Coach Pirro has many contacts to colleges across the U.S. He has been the best advocate for me and has paved the way for me to earn a scholarship from the college I want to attend and play for. He has always put our team in the right tournaments, showcases, and even private collegiate workouts to be seen by college coaches. He has and always will do whatever it takes to see his guys play at the next level.

In going into my 3rd full season of playing for Coach Pirro he has always been there for me, whether I’m struggling or on fire , he always loves his guys.

I cannot thank the CBA organization and Coach Pirro enough for the effort, support , and dedication it has brought.

CBA has provided my son (and our family) the opportunity to play at the highest level of baseball the travel ball industry has to offer.  Coach Pirro runs a top-notch program, one that mirrors the expectations of a Division 1 College program.  Expectations are high and players are held to a professional standard of character, integrity and accountability.  His advocacy for his players to get recruited and become college ball players is like no other coach we have played for.  If you have a player that is interested in playing at the college level and has the talent, then you have to be involved in a program with a head coach that will pick up the phone and call on your behalf and then continue to follow up.  CBA is truly committed to playing with and against the best of the best and making sure your son has a path forward to play at the next level.  We have been super grateful for our journey with Coach Pirro and the CBA organization.

Coach Pirro and the CBA organization have played a huge role in our son’s development as a player.  The coaching staff is top-notch, and they spend countless hours working with their players both through highly-organized team practices and one-on-one training.  We were looking for an organization for our son that would not only provide him with great training and exposure at top recruiting events, but also that still valued having a cohesive group of players that practiced together and had fun together, and that is what we found with CBA.  Coach Pirro also played an invaluable role in our son’s recruiting process.  His relationships and constant communication with college coaches helped result in a D1 offer at our son’s dream school, and it was clear to us that Coach Pirro truly enjoys that process and helping his players find the right fit for them.

Practices are run organization-wide by top class instructors that focus not only on baseball skill development but personal growth and leadership. Older players are provided opportunities to lead and teach while younger age groups learn how to receive instruction and develop as a player. This structure not only helps to grow the bonds within each team but creates a connection across the organization.  All this while having your child receive more reps at a single practice than they will receive in a full season of school practices. 

College baseball was not on our radar when we joined CBA.  Our goal was for our son develop more fundamentals and prepare himself for high school. My son’s experience at CBA has not only made him a better ball player fundamentally but has instilled the work ethic and personal skill development he needed to attract attention and create opportunities to play beyond high school.

Having just gone through the recruiting process with our son, I watched firsthand while Coach Pirro interacted with college coaches across all levels (ACC, SEC, Big 10, Big 12 and mid-majors). I can say with certainty that you will not find a coach more dedicated to the success of your child than Coach Pirro. I have witnessed the work he pours into the recruiting process. Thank you is not strong enough to express how grateful our family is for Coach Pirro and Charlotte Baseball Academy!  Our child went from an average travel baseball player to a committed Division 1 athlete set to attend a top five academic university. None of which would have been possible without Coach Pirro and CBA!”

A Game-Changer for Our Son's Baseball Journey

Choosing CBA Baseball was the best decision we made for our son’s development and future in baseball. Having been part of other high-profile teams in the past, we were often told they would advocate for him, but in reality, he felt almost invisible. That all changed when Coach Pirro and the CBA organization invested in him—not just as a player, but as a young athlete with a future at the next level.

My son has played for several organizations that promised to "get him in front of college scouts". It wasn't until we joined Charlotte Baseball Academy and Coach Pirro that my son finally pitched in front of numerous scouts and began receiving attention from several schools. Plus, Coach Pirro knows the game so well. My son has learned so much from playing for him, both on and off the field. Joining CBA has been one best things we've done for our son. 

We came to CBA for the scouting opportunities, and we stay because of the culture of excellence and it matters. We are happy to make the drive from Raleigh because it is an opportunity for our son to play baseball with players that are focused on the same goals: striving for excellence in a sport that he loves. Seven D1 camps in 2 years, over 25 players recruited to quality programs, including Ivy’s. Can’t find this type of program anywhere else - the commitment of CBA and the professionalism can't be matched.
